I consider myself the world's slowest runner and triathlete....but I keep trying. You are a great example of how persitence can pay off. My husband runs a sub 8 minute mile and I run a sub 13....needless to say we don't run together very often!Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17584071206419891364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11786280.post-74154233339246290042011-02-12T10:06:33.186-07:002011-02-12T10:06:33.186-07:00I have an ALMOST 20 year old whipper snapper that ...I have an ALMOST 20 year old whipper snapper that has run with me twice. She said she'll go for 12 with me next Friday. She's so much faster than me, I know our "relationship" will end soon. I just hope to get a few more tempo runs out of her as my pacer! She can talk the whole run, no matter what pace we go. <br />I do hate it when she runs backwards, up the hills, in front of me though. Oh, to be 20 again.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02219457885959637135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11786280.post-15105797780877757152011-02-12T04:47:18.314-07:002011-02-12T04:47:18.314-07:00I have a couple of theories about swelling up afte...I have a couple of theories about swelling up after an endurance event. First of all is the pounding, if you hit yourself with a hammer for for 10-12 hours, no matter how gently, you will get some swelling. Same principle apples with pounding the ground with your feet no matter how cushioned your shoes are, although I'm finding the swelling amount is decreasing slightly the more of these I do. Second is electrolytes, from what I've read it can happen from too few electrolytes and from too many electrolytes, so as far as fine tuning that, I have no idea.JojaJoggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05162679585508072073noreply@blogger.com
