So, I've got this thing in my left ankle that I felt the first stirrings of when I was running downhill from the La Luz trailhead. Then ...

Okay. Well, I'm not going to know how things went until my classes start at 9 am. It appears that the substitutes haven't followed ...

That is insane!
ReplyDeleteHELP! HELP! I WANT TO SWIM BUT THE POOL IS FREAKING ME OUT!
ReplyDeleteOh wait. Here's a map.
I'm good now.
I really hate to say it, but I think the map could be useful to some.
ReplyDeleteThere are those who *just don't get* where they're supposed to turn when circle swimming. (Not that I'd point fingers or name names or anything.)
Ideally, it doesn't happen in a tri, though ...
No, Wendy is right of course.
ReplyDeleteHelp the newbies out. Absolutely.
That assumes that they would actually look at the thing and try to figure it out instead of just guessing.
Man, I sound way too cynical...
You know darn well it's provided for a reason.
ReplyDeleteAny bets that two folks will still bonk heads? ;)
I can only say what I said about your last post...
ReplyDeletemost excellent. BTW do they give the guy who needs this map his own sign too?
"Here's your map, and here's your sign"...
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou made me snarf my water. That's too funny!
Well, hopefully they make the map out of tyvek or some other such waterproof material, I'd be afraind mine would fall apart while I'm consulting it for directions ;-)
ReplyDeletebah, getting lost is not in my vocabulary. Its a pool, follow the black lines.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm already confused by the race directors. The instructions clearly state that participants will circle swim in each lane. Yet the map CLEARLY shows a triangle pattern.
ReplyDeleteOne has to wonder if they will have marker bouys, too?
Yeah, we could go on with this one, all day.
I know at least one Outlaw that needs this map! Not to mention any names but he was DQ'ed last year when he didn't realized it was a down and back swim.
