Some pictures from the Deschutes Dash are here (bottom left three pictures), here, and here. The results are here (pdf file!). The pictures for the Deschutes are kind of aggravating, because they don't list them by bib number. You get to search through page after page to find yours.
These two triathlons didn't have Athena or Clydesdales divisions, so I had to race in the 40-44 females group. But, I wasn't last...by golly...I wasn't last. And, I had a blast in each of them.

Next year's goal: Become a "middle-of-the-packer".
What a fantastic photo!! Looking pretty lean and mean to me, not Athena-ish at all!! (Not that there's anything wrong with that....)
ReplyDeleteSo how did that elevation in Flag treat you? The football stadium at NAU actually has a warning sign in the lockeroom to warn people of the extreme altitude. Makes for a great training location. Sorry we missed you on your way through Utah. We would have loved to show you the finer points of Utah, instead of the "moon landing" parts. All well, maybe next time.

As a serious rock geek, I was very impressed with the formations in southeastern Utah, but it was night when we came through, so I missed a lot of them. We plan to make another trip, perhaps a winter trip, to catch Grand Canyon, Canyonlands NP, and Arches NP. We also loved the Flaming Gorge area.
ReplyDeleteThe altitude kicked my ass. That's all I can say. I train at around 5000 feet up in Albuquerque area, but I was feeling kind of winded in Flagstaff on the run.
i get so excited every time i read about each of your races. it really puts a smile on my face. thanks for sharing the awesome photos !
