To the river's edge
I, and the iron lemmings

  5. No exageration, I'm afraid. Even the ripped, 5% bodyfat German guys were swearing. In German. And shaking their heads. People were being pushed downstream away from the start point.

I was actually there - volunteering - I was part of the lucky group that put the 2000 stickers on the bike racks & then the 2000 stickers on the transition racks - anyway - we got to see all the swimmers going backyards - funny in a sad/weird kind of way - it should be better by Sunday - I think the Army Corp is going to close the dam locks!!

  9. You went two yards backwards? You are one amazing swimmer! I have video of people being swept downstream and over waterfalls.

    Okay, the waterfalls might be an exaggeration. But I did see several people get pushed back upstream by the safety boats.
