  3. Actually, I have some sort of loose skin holding suit that is supposed to help speed in the non-wetsuit races....and I guess I'll try it out today during my pool swim. It's gray and makes me even more whale-like but hopefully this will scare away the carp....do they make good sushi??? 2.4 miles is a long way to go without sustenance.

  5. There is an inadvertently funny scene in a terrible movie called "Volcano" (I saw it on a bus...) in which a hapless young couple in best horror-movie style are hanging out in a natural hot spring when suddenly lava erupts into it and they are boiled to death...

  8. I got stuck on slowtwitch's unfriendly people in that forum. What is up with those grumpy so-and-so's? Do they really need to be such negative nellies?

and that, apparently, is why I never hang out there.

  10. Yeah. Um. At least from that thread it seemed slow twitch is a tad gripey and whiney and complainey. I don't want to start a war, or anything, though. Maybe it was just an off day.

  12. Completely unrelated to anything hydro - I just re-read your 'finding my spirit' post. THAT will get you over the line on Sunday, mate. Put a copy in your bike special needs bag :)
