Why I missed the morning workout: Excuse #293

I don't care who ya are, "10 degrees F" and "swimming" just do not belong in the same sentence. Or day. Or place.
It's just not natural.

Especially when it's my day off, and there are flannel sheets, and an espresso maker, and a nice smoochie Baboo to snuggle with.

It actually dropped another couple degrees after I did this screen capture.

Oh, and Kevin, in South Dakota is hereby uninvited to comment on how big a weenie I am.

  1. That doesn't leave me much room for any comments now does it?

  2. I realize you're in New Mexico, but isn't your pool indoors?

  3. Well, I have to go outside to get to it, see? (get it? Whining. Get it?)
Oh, and brady: citing Larry the cable guy is guarenteed to send me screaming in the opposite direction of the point you're trying to make.

  4. You did miss a nice 2000 yd swim, and a hot tub - which did make up for the ice I had to step on, on my way TO the hot tub. That ain't right.

Okay, then, Vermont will take up the Charge of the Weenie Brigade. Weenie!

I don't think Iron(wo)men are susceptible to claims of weeniedom.

  6. I was going to comment on what a weenie you are.

But then I read your second paragraph. That trumps all weenie-ness!

  8. Ok, so I'm a weenie, too. I understand your reluctance! Of course I'm just a 'regular' person; certainly no IRON WOMAN!

Maybe tomorrow ill be better for ya!

  9. I almost felt sorry for you, then you made it known that you go to an indoor pool...(shaking head) that's just not right.

I swam. Outside. December 28th. 84 degrees. Don't hate me.

  10. Sometimes I sit in an outdoor hottub--does that make up for it? Huh? huh?

  11. Since I am from North Dakota can I comment? Is it an indoor swimming pool? Wait ... do you have open water in December, cause we have been able to walk on the ice for a couple of weeks now. :-p

  12. I didn't go swimming today because... because it was raining.. because I slept in... because I DIDN'T FREAKIN' FEEL LIKE IT! God help anyone who tries to tell me I'm a weenie. HA!

I'm going tomorrow and it's my birthday so I rule. 'Cause I said so. And you rule, too. Any woman who knows when to make the call to skip workout rules - for another 3 days and after that we suck.

    Happy Holidays!
