  2. Whew! I'm safe. Not a huge coconut fan. It does sound very exotic though. I might have to taste it some day. You'll burn that off right away though!

  3. That looks real tasty. I'd be in big trouble if it was vegan. I'm sure that would make great ice cream sandwiches.

  8. It sounds fantastic to me, but unfortunately I'm allergic to coconut. The hives and swollen tongue blocking my airway would so not be worth it. You can have my share of coconut goodies in the world. :D

  9. If you like coconut, in addition to the coconut sorbets and gelatos I've seen, this past weekend I saw an ice cream at Whole Foods called Kov
    that is dairy-free, soy-free, vegan - coconut milk based "ice cream"

    two flavors.

    * Ginger Vanilla
    * Garden Mint Chocolate

    Apparently this is a new trend.
    Another search turned up this (similar)

    and this

    Haven't tried any of them but they look good (and being lactose intolerant AND unable to eat soy, an option I'll have to investigate). The nutritional profile isn't horrible either at least when compared to regular HD or B&J. Most seem to use agave nectar for sweetener, which I haven't tried before.

    Also, for a nice portable snack (maybe for a bike ride) - try rolling whole dates in flaked coconut, yum!

  10. Mmmmmm, ice cream, my danger food.

    Have you ever eaten real coconut? It's fantastic. But you need a hammer to crack it open.

    Haagen-Dazs have been very creative with new flavors recently. I probably have pounds of body weight just from their Sticky Toffee pudding ice cream.
